At H20 Portuguese water dogs, we pride ourselves on breeding exceptional Portuguese water dogs in Edmonton, Alberta. We’ve over 22 years of experience breeding dogs and 10 years with the beloved water dog. 

When raising our water dog puppies, we focus on building their disposition. We want families to have sociable, fun, smart, and loyal furry friends. However, just like humans, all dogs have slightly distinct personalities. That’s why we focus on matching each dog with the family’s goals and expectations, so they can bond well and have an enjoyable time for the rest of their life.

Portuguese water puppies and dogs make great family pets because they’re eager to please and therefore learn quickly!

Portuguese water dogs used to be Fisherman’s friends along Portugal's coast, where they were taught to herd fish into nets, retrieve broken nets and act as a courier between ships!
What’s better is that their shaggy coat is hypoallergenic, waterproof and non-shedding. Buying a Portuguese water dog is great if you have babies in the home or a family with sensitive skin.
